Genealogy and history
The old courthouse has a research room for history and genealogy, a museum, a lecture hall, and a bring-your-own-lunch dining area.
Our research room is packed with documents, maps, and photographs relating to Campbell county (now south Fulton county), Fairburn, and surrounding areas. Most of this material is not available elsewhere. A microfilm reader is available for viewing microfilms (of course).
Ask a question
If you have a question about old Campbell County's history or people, send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org. We'll ask our research staff and historians to try to send you an answer.
These old high-topped women's boots and the small photograph on the wall show us how people dressed in the early part of the 20th century. Just imagine getting up in the morning and lacing these these things before going out to church.
You may get a little chill when you look at the medical instruments in the next picture.
We schedule educational presentations and other events throughout the year. Please check the dates and pay us a visit.
Research is strenuous business. You're welcome to bring a lunch and relax in our casual and friendly dining area. You never know who may be there—maybe some of your distant cousins.
